Betting Rounds of Omaha

Enough has been discussed about posting small blind, big blind, and the bets involved in Hold ‘Em poker. The same stands good for Omaha. After posting the blinds, the house deals four cards to each player and betting continues till all the players have either called or folded. Then the dealer will display the flop cards which will be pursued by a round of betting. If more than one player is in the hand then the turn card is displayed followed by another round of betting. Finally the river card is displayed by the dealer and the players who continue to remain in hand have to show their hands and the highest hand wins the pot.

Probability of Getting Lucky With Hole Cards

You will have one in 20,824 chances to be dealt with quads as hole cards where the chances for improving your hand become very precious. In this case, there is a possibility for forming a full house if you find a pair of same-rank cards among the community cards on display. To be dealt with three of a kind as hole cards is as bad as quads if you do not find any complimenting community cards. The chances for getting three of a kind in hole cards is one in 867 cases.
